Gameto is seeking full time Research Associates to be part of a dynamic, dedicated, and growing team in New York. 

Gameto is seeking several Research Associates to join our team in New York. Ideal candidates will be collaborative, translational-focused problem solvers, integrating into a dynamic interdisciplinary team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of stem cell-derived therapeutics and cellular engineering to improve women’s health.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Research Associate to work closely with Senior Scientists in each of our three key research initiatives:

  1. Mechanism of action, including molecular analyses, product formulation and delivery optimization
  2. Cell manufacturing, including stem cell culture, differentiation protocols and QA/QC for batch release
  3. Product development, including cellular engineering, differentiation and product formulation for clinical application

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an active, integrated team member working closely with Senior Scientists, Embryologists and Computational Biologists
  • Plan and prioritize tasks effectively to complete short-term deliverables on time towards achieving long-term team and project goals 
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols and carefully follow standard laboratory procedures and company SOPs
  • Demonstrate high personal and professional integrity, pay attention to detail, and accurately record and report experimental data and results
  • Have a positive attitude, enthusiastically tackling and overcoming challenges with excellent organizational and time-management skills 
  • Have a team-oriented growth mindset that welcomes feedback from others and supports team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a biological science or related field is required
  • At least one year biotech research experience or Masters degree is beneficial (cell biology, genetics, or stem cell biology is preferred)
  • Experience with one or more of the following is advantageous but not required: 
    • Flow cytometry, ELISAs, DNA/RNA isolation and qPCR
    • -omics level analyses, including next generation sequencing (NGS) library generation, proteomics and metabolomics
    • Molecular cloning, vector construction and cell transfection 
    • Human pluripotent stem cell and organoid culture
    • Design of Experiments (DoE) and cell culture protocol optimization
    • Design and development of cell scaffolding and matrices
    • Scale up strategies for cell manufacturing

The salary range for this job is between $60,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD depending on experience level.
