Gameto is seeking a Legal Analyst to join our team in New York.

Specific experience is not as important as a proven track record of ability to understand and process complex information in multidisciplinary contexts. You have a go-getter attitude and an enthusiastic work ethic.

About the Role:

You will work cross functionally between the Legal and Regulatory Departments to provide support across a variety of initiatives, including administrative tasks, database maintenance, basic contract review and tracking, researching laws and regulations in different jurisdictions, preparing reports and presentations, and generally supporting senior management in day-to-day operations. Your work will be dynamic, with shifting priorities as projects mature. You will work with our team in our Manhattan office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing administrative tasks, such as maintaining databases and preparing reports.
  • Support basic contract review, including basic editing, issue spotting, administration and management of contract templates under supervision of an attorney.
  • Conducting research and literature reviews; synthesizing information from various sources.
  • Collaborating with team members to design and execute research projects.
  • Presenting research findings in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Staying current with industry developments and identifying new trends.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of policies and standards across the company.
  • Consult with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure that legal, privacy, security, and compliance risks are effectively addressed.
  • Assist in organizing and managing corporate records including shareholder lists and minute books.
  • Provide support for day-to-day compliance-related questions and issues from across all departments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate high personal and professional integrity, with a willingness to dig into anything and everything to support the business.
  • Assist with office management and maintenance of supplies. 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; should be able to communicate complex topics in an articulate and thoughtful manner with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong critical thinking skills and analytical ability; possess an inquisitive nature
  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Ideal candidate has experience in a corporate legal department or law firm working on complex matters
  • Willingness to take the initiative; be highly motivated and ambitious
  • Strong attention to detail, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement
  • Must have high degree of accountability, the ability to multitask, work well under pressure, change priorities as required, and meet deadlines
  • A positive attitude; Enthusiastically tackle and overcome challenges with excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize needs and get things done in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Technically savvy. At least intermediate skill-level with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office products.

This position has an estimated annual salary range of $80,000 to $120,000, plus opportunities for equity. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and industry expertise.
