Gameto is seeking a Biotechnology Research Analyst in New York who will report to the Chief Executive Officer and company senior leadership.

About You:

The Biotechnology Research Analyst will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams and will participate in system-wide projects as well as create and foster strong working relationships among teammates. Passionate about the intersection of science and business, the ideal candidate is entrepreneurially minded while having a strong grasp of research and biology.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor degree in life sciences with 0-2 years research or biotechnology experience and will have proven themselves through a demonstrated track record of proactivity and academic ability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with project management for select initiatives from the Executive Team
  • Manage academic and industry specific conferences deadlines, abstract submission and material preparation.
  • Coordinate company publications calendar, grant writing and academic partnerships.
  • Work with the CEO and VPs of Cell Engineering & Embryology to create, analyze, and present biological research reports for internal and external meetings and Scientific Advisory board meetings.
  • Perform research related to biotechnology, cell therapies, fertility services and other related sectors in order to inform management decisions.
  • Provide clear documentation and data analysis on various research and strategic initiatives, namely providing clean metrics and presentations
  • Contact key opinion leaders, industry experts and prospective job candidates
  • Coordinate science dissemination on social media pages & content creation with all key stakeholders
  • Assist with office events, promotional and recruiting activities


  • The ideal candidate for the role will have a basic understanding of reproductive medicine and preclinical/clinical research, academic writing and publishing experience and enjoy applying these skills to a dynamic biotech start up environment.
  • Possess a biology or other life sciences related degree
  • Familiar with life science and healthcare domain. Scientific understanding of reproductive medicine, women’s health and stem cell biology is preferred but not required.
  • At least 2 peer-reviewed publications indexed on PubMed/Medline; accepted presentations at scientific meetings in their respective field.
  • Strong academic writing skills, with the ability to write abstracts, manuscripts, grants, presentations and scientific reports and press releases.
  • Ability to produce illustrations and present clear data and solutions to business problems
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated approach to problem solving with excellent reasoning skills and ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with short deadlines.
  • A positive attitude; Enthusiastically tackles and overcomes challenges with excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize needs and get things done.
  • A team-oriented growth mindset that welcomes feedback from others and supports team members.
  • Demonstrates ability to multi-task and meet assigned deadlines within a rapidly changing environment
  • Technically savvy, good at making presentations, social media and data-driven searches.


  • $90-130k depending on experience.
