Gameto is seeking an experienced Clinical Project Manager, based in Madrid, who will be integral in managing the set up and follow-through of the company's preclinical research and operations in Madrid.

About You:

The Clinical Project Manager will report to the Chief Executive Officer and company senior leadership, as well as interacting with our Clinic partners and external vendors. The Clinical Project Manager will develop, lead and execute on the preclinical and clinical study plans developed by leadership, holding responsibility for selecting, prioritizing, and accelerating the strategy to develop our initial product: Fertilo.

The ideal candidate will be a physician/scientist with significant operational business experience and/ an MBA or business experience and an outstanding and proven record of accomplishment in their field. They will also have a demonstrated track record of building and managing teams across the healthcare sector, as well as working effectively across different geographies. They will be fluent in Spanish and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that partner clinics are delivering against the agreed research plan, being a proactive problem solver in order to ensure data is generated quickly and delays are minimized.
  • Develop a reporting infrastructure in order to ensure company leadership and relevant stakeholders are kept informed of research progress.
  • Implement strategies in order to meet company goals.
  • Evaluate, select and develop relationships with clinic partner’s management teams along with clinical investigators at Gameto’s study sites.
  • Maintain understanding of competitors and relevant scientific and therapeutic areas by attending scientific meetings and tracking literature.
  • Demonstrate strong people management skills, leading by example and working with cross functional teams to manage multiple projects and study sites.
  • Build, retain, and develop a high caliber, world-class experimental group in Madrid.


The ideal candidate for the role will have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience. Qualified candidates should possess:

  • An MD, PhD or MBA with strong leadership skills and industry experience in healthcare project management, preference may be given to candidates with preclinical & clinical study management and scientific/clinical knowledge of reproductive medicine and assisted reproductive technologies.
  • Understanding of managing a multidisciplinary scientific team: embryologists, reproductive endocrinologists, stem cell engineers/scientists, regulatory, and sales/marketing stakeholders.
  • Some experience and understanding of both the US & European health markets, regulatory submissions to the FDA, EMEA or other regulatory agencies.
  • A proactive, dynamic, fast-paced individual with the ability to think innovatively and problem solve on the go, providing clear instructions to team members.
  • The ability to effectively interact and build strong relationships with external Key Opinion Leaders, academic partners and industry experts.
  • Previous leadership experience, including managing direct reports across geographies working effectively with other functional areas and managing budgets.
  • High enthusiasm, independence and self-motivation, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and “can do” attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The candidate would be required to be based in Madrid and have regular travel for work including between Gameto sites in New York and Madrid.
